Christian Meditation in the way of the World Community for 

Christian Meditation @ Family Medical Centers

The doors open at 6:00 pm and the Meditation starts promptly at 6:30 pm. We start the meditation saying The Lord's Prayer, followed by a reading or short talk from the works of Fr. John Main, Fr. Laurence Freeman, Fr. Thomas Keating or Fr. Richard Rohr followed by a 20 minute Silent Meditation. The meditation ends with The Lord's Prayer. There is time for comments from the group at the end and we are usually out by 7:00 pm.


The entrance and parking lot is behind the building. Make a left (or right) onto Powell Place and then make your first or second left into the large parking lot. Enter through the main door under the long awning. Suite 101 is the first door on the left.

Dinner, Drinks and Karaoke @ Salsa's Mexican Restaurant

Join us as we spend an evening having dinner and a good time with friends. If you can sing, sing! If you can't sing, don't worry, nobody holds it against anybody! We are not trying to find any new talent, just have fun! If you have any questions, your host Leslie, 904/813-2177, will be glad to answer them.

1 Hour of Adoration
Assumption Catholic Church's New Adoration Chapel

All are invited to bring their prayer intentions before the Blessed Sacrament for 1 hour of Adoration at Assumption's new Adoration Chapel. This is a Family event so children are welcome! Bibles and other written prayer prompts provided in chapel for reflection. Adoration starts at 5:30 pm, please get there early!

After Adoration...join us for food and socialization at Mudville Grill (All expenses borne by individual participants.)

Monthly Mass @ St. Anastasia Catholic Church

Please plan to meet outside the main entrance of the Church 15 minutes before Mass begins. That way we have time to arrange to sit together. The location of our seating varies, so please be early. We strongly recommend you try to carpool with your friends as there will be some distance to travel to the restaurant and parking could be an issue. 

After Mass...join us for dinner at Creekside Dinery

Getting there near 6:00 pm will help with seating. Afterwards we will go to St. Augustine to see the lights. Dress warm!

All of us know someone – or are someone – who needs healing. Whether we suffer physically, emotionally or in some other way, God's healing hand awaits us. Join us for this monthly mass dedicated to healing our hearts, souls, minds and bodies. Please be on time.

There is a parking garage adjacent to the Spirituality Center. Parking is free at that time of day.

You, Me and God Makes 3

6 week seminar from Jan. 18 to Feb. 22
Held at the Catholic Center

Thursday evenings from 7:00p to 9:00p 


You and Me and God Makes Three is a spiritual, biblical based look at developing relationships God’s way. Using the book, Dear God, Send Me a Soul Mate, by Rose Sweet, you will take a wonderful journey through the Old Testament story of Isaac and Rebecca. This six-week course, for single Catholic aged 35 years and older, follows eight specific steps that will aid you in developing healthy relationships with God as a partner and guide. Classes begin on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 7 PM at the Catholic Center and continue every Thursday through February 22. The cost is $40. Pre-registration is required and can be done online at www.dcfl.org or by calling the Diocesan Center for Family Life at 904-551-2619.


Saturday, January 20
Community Service Project: IJF Adopt-A-Lake Clean-Up
LOCATION: Behind Walgreens, Radio Shack and Bank of America at the intersection
of University Blvd. West and St. Augustine Road (map

8:30 am to 10:30 am

Take an hour or so and help us maintain a previously littered lake. This is an ecology-rich lake where ducks, geese, otters and schools of fish live and play. Adults and supervised teens will find this activity to be a satisfying exercise in community service.

WEAR: shoes/boots, hat, sunscreen and garden gloves if you have them
BRING: rakes if you have them (leaf and garden); Flat shovels (not spades)
IJF & COJ PROVIDE: rubber gloves, trash bags and 'litter-picker-uppers'
